Recently, I was designing my own T shirt. I’m going to sell them online after everything done. I’m doing this because I found that I’m really not enjoying work for other. No matter how hard you work, the work is not belong to you, it belong to the company.
As a designer, design is the major skill that I know how to make money. So, what can I do without working under a company? I have think of become a freelancer, a work that almost the same like now, but have to do the entire job from A to Z. I’m not really like it; but this is all I can do.
One day, I was eating with my friend; he is planning to create his own company, so he wants me to design his company logo. He has given me an idea to sell my own T-shirt. I think this is good. First, I can earn money; second, I can design something I like.
Since that day, I never stop thinking about my T shirt. I have made a lot of research about T shirt and keep thinking what my T shirt brand should call. Base on my style and the thing I like, I will call it “REVELATION”, and this personal job I will call it the revelation project.

ReplyDeleteIn Australia, I have my own shirt company too. Called JumpingMary. I registed for that company, then soon found out the market here is too saturated.. and the producing cost is too high. So I cancelled my plans.
When I go back Malaysia, I MIGHT pick up my plans again.. but I need to do market survey first la.
